What is a birth chart?
It is the exact photograph of the sky at the moment and place of your birth: the position of every planet, your Ascendant, your astrological houses. It is the celestial identity card from which every serious astrological reading begins. Kovaluna calculates it to the degree, then interprets it for you.
How is this different from a magazine horoscope?
A magazine horoscope is written once for one twelfth of humanity. At Kovaluna, every reading starts from your own birth sky: the real positions of the stars when you came into the world, compared with the current sky. Two people of the same sign receive different readings, because their skies are different.
Why am I asked for my birth time and place?
The time and place determine your Ascendant and astrological houses, which specify in which areas of life your planets express themselves. Without them, the portrait remains accurate but less refined.
I don't know my birth time — is that a problem?
No. Simply give your date and place: Kovaluna will cast your chart without the Ascendant or houses, and will tell you so honestly. Tip: the time is usually recorded on your birth certificate.
How are my readings written?
Each request triggers a complete astronomical calculation (positions, aspects, current transits), then a text drawing on the ancestral knowledge of the great astrological traditions, with the assistance of automated technology. Every text is written for you: your name, your sky, your moment.
Is it really free?
Yes. Creating an account is free, with no credit card, and gives you access to your birth chart and your personal horoscopes — daily, weekly, monthly or yearly.
How do I create my account?
Simply start your birth chart or your horoscope: enter your birth details, and you will only be asked for an email and a password to finish. Your reading appears immediately afterwards, and Kovaluna remembers your sky for all the following ones.
How do my personal questions work?
Ask a question linked to one of your astro profiles (“Is this the right time to change jobs?”, “How should I approach the new school year for my son?”). Kovaluna studies the relevant sky before answering: allow about 10 minutes for an optimal answer. It appears under your question and you are notified by email. One question at a time: Kovaluna finishes its current reflection before accepting a new one. Your history remains available, and you can delete each exchange or clear everything at any time.
Can I consult for a loved one?
Of course: your account can hold up to five astro profiles, yours and those of your loved ones. Create them in “My astro profiles” (top right menu), then pick the person in the “Astro profile” menu before each reading. Each one receives readings cast from their own birth sky, and your personal questions can also concern the profile of your choice.
Why doesn't my reading change if I request it again?
A reading is cast for a given period: your daily horoscope is valid for that day, the weekly one for that week, the monthly one for that month. Requesting it again returns the same reading, faithfully preserved. The sky will have changed by the next period, and your next reading with it.
Can astrology predict my future?
Astrology sheds light on climates and tendencies; it decides nothing in your place. Kovaluna is offered as a tool for introspection and entertainment: a mirror to understand yourself better, never a fatality nor a substitute for the advice of a health, legal or financial professional.
What happens to my data?
They are used only for your readings and are never sold. Everything is detailed in our Privacy Policy ; you can exercise your rights or delete your account via the contact form.
